DevOps Practices is an independent technical knowledge site focused on practical DevOps problems, troubleshooting experiences, configurations, and solutions that I have encountered throughout my career.
The site publishes practical guides, troubleshooting notes and technical tutorials based on hands-on research and experience. The goal is to provide clear, reproducible solutions to common infrastructure and operations problems.

That describes the way much of the knowledge shared here was gained.
If you work in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, system administration, or a similar technical field, you probably know how much of the job involves troubleshooting. Some problems require multiple approaches before you finally understand what is happening. A lot of useful technical knowledge is gained while troubleshooting. Like most engineers, I have benefited countless times from knowledge shared by other people online. The articles on this site cover technologies and problems that I work with or have spent time investigating. I don't want that knowledge to disappear after the problem is solved. If I spend several days investigating a problem and an article on this site helps another engineer solve the same problem in few minutes, then writing it was worth the effort. The topics on this site will continue to grow as I encounter new technologies and new problems worth documenting.
There is already excellent official documentation available for most of the technologies discussed on this website, and I strongly recommend using official documentation whenever possible. Instead of trying to replace official documentation, DevOps Practices focuses on the practical layer around it: what actually happened when the technology was used, configured, integrated, or troubleshooted.
Technology changes quickly. Software versions change, APIs evolve, commands become deprecated, cloud platforms introduce new features, and recommended practices can change over time. The articles on DevOps Practices document technical information and experiences based on the environments, versions, and situations available at the time an article was written. For that reason, I encourage readers to understand commands and configuration changes before applying them. When appropriate, always verify important changes against the current official documentation for the technology you are using.
